Argos is selling the Dell Inspiron N5040 laptop via its eBay outlet for just under £275 including delivery and 270 Nectar points. That is not that expensive for a laptop that packs such a good specification and goes a long way to explain why nearly 100 of these have been sold already.
The N5040 has popped up a few times in TechDealsPro but none of these deals were as good as this one. This one is powered by an Intel Pentium P6200 CPU – launched in 2010 – clocked at 2.13GHz with two cores, 3MB L2 cache, a 35W TDP and an integrated Intel HD Graphics GPU.
The processor is based on the Arrandale microarchitecture which means that it should be way more powerful than any Intel Atom-based solutions on the market.
Other features include 4GB of RAM, a 1TB hard disk drive, Windows 7 Home Premium, a card reader, HDMI and eSATA ports, an Ethernet connector, three USB ones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a DVD writer, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel display, up to five hours battery life, a VGA webcam and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Note that this laptop – which weighs a hefty 3.7Kg and is 3.4cm thick – is a refurbished model that comes with 12 month warranty.
